PBBJOCT (peanut butter, bananas, jam overload, celery, tomato)

by Genevieve Layla Gorbinrevie
(San Fransisco, California, US)

It sound gross but it is delicious! It smells bad and it looks horrible but it's the best healthy snack I have ever enjoyed in my entire life!! Try this weird recipe and hopefully you will like it as much as my kids and I do! My five year old daughter, Clarisse, now makes unusual sandwiches with her sister almost every day.

You will need:

2 slices wheat bread
peanut butter
jelly (grape or strawberry)
chocolate sauce
1 banana, sliced
1 tomato, chopped into chunks
1 stalk celery, chopped into chunks

First you get two pieces of wheat bread to make a regular peanut butter and jelly sandwich (peanut butter on one piece of bread, jelly on the other). Next add extra jelly and then chocolate sauce drizzled on the bananas which are placed on the peanut butter side.

Then add small chunks of tomatoes in the jelly (grape, strawberry jam, or your favorite flavor) and some small chunks of celery dropped in the jelly.

The Story Behind this Weird Recipe:

This recipe was made up by me (a 27 year old mom with 3 kids ages seven, six and three). My seven year old had to make an unusual treat with her mother for "Mother daughter night" at her school. This time it was "make an unusual treat day."

I thought this recipe sounded fun although my daughter, Alyeece, thought it sounded disgusting (she is very girly). We started by making an original family recipe (jelly overload with bananas and PB). It ended up becoming a weirder sandwich and we made the kitchen messier than my 3 year old son's bedroom!

I hope you enjoyed my story!
