Hamster Apple Chew

by Lauren
(Scotland)

This is a simple recipe for your hamster.

a hamster wood block
quarter of a apple

First get the block and the apple and rub them together for about 2 minutes. You can use other fruit or vegetables such as carrot. Then let your hamster enjoy chewing the flavorful wood block.

i havent yet tried it but it sounds a good idea. the whole idea is to let the hamster chew the safe wood to keep his or her teeth short and encouraging natural chewing behaviour by flavouring the wood.

I tried this recipe but my hamster started EATING the wood! It could have choked, but luckily I took it out. I think a smarter way to change this recipe is to give the apple itself!
