Warm Pasta Salad

I came up with this recipe because my mom has me make dinner every Saturday and this idea popped into my head. My Dad, Mom, and sister really liked it. (I am 12 years old.)

Ingredients:

1 box penne pasta
1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
1 carrot
desired amount of cherry tomatoes,halved
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Bring a large pot (with about 4 cups of water in it) to boil. While the water is boiling, cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat till lightly browned.

Melt the margarine/butter in the microwave. Add garlic salt to melted margarine/butter. Pour half of the butter mixture into the sausages.

When the water boils, add pasta. Wash and peel the carrot and slice it. Boil the carrots until they are soft. When done, drain pasta and carrots. Mix all ingredients (including the tomatoes)in a large bowl. Stir in the remaining butter mixture.

Serve with a green tossed salad and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Enjoy!

This recipe serves about seven people.
