Snowballs

by Halley
(Texas)

I found this recipe from an old recipe book written by Miriam B. Loo's. This book is called Special Dishes For Special Days. When I was younger, about five, I loved this recipe. I would eat eat after lunch and dinner. It is a very sweet treat, THE PERFECT DESSERT. I'm fourteen now but every year around Christmas my Mom makes them. My favorite thing was it actually resembles snow!!!

Have Ready:

1/2 cup real butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup pecans pieces
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar

You will need:

Mixing bowl
Measuring cup
Measuring spoon
Electric mixer
Mixing spoon
Cookie sheet
Potholder
Bowl, Plate, or Plastic bag

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350 F degrees (180C). Put sugar, honey, and butter into the mixing bowl. Then after it does not matter what order you put the ingredients in. Then, mix into the bowl until your recipe is smooth and blended.

After that get the dough and roll it into multiple balls. Then, stick your snowballs in the oven for 12 to 14 minutes.

Next roll your snowballs in sugar and put them in the fridge to make them nice and cool.
