Korean recipe
by: Clarissa the Mom Chef

Hi Jennifer!

Here's a Korean recipe for "bulgogi" (thin sliced barbecued beef). I got this from my good friend, Susan who lives in South Korea. It should qualify for North Korean food as well.

Korean Bulgogi Barbecued Beef Recipe

600 grams sliced lean beef

Seasonings for beef:

5 Tablespoons soy sauce
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 Tablespoons green onion (coarsely chopped)
1 Tablespoons garlic (minced)
5 Tablespoons water or pear juice

1. Make a sauce by mixing together all the ingredients except the beef. Pour it over the beef. Mix the meat and the sauce thoroughly. Let the meat marinate for at least 1 hour.

2. Heat a grill. Then barbecue the beef. Use a frying pan or an over broiler if you don't have a grill. Serve immediately.
