Indian Chapatis

by Alisha Lisle
(Gateshead, UK)

Make this Indian flatbread to eat with curry.

1 liter water
2 cups atta (Indian whole wheat flour)

You make chapatis with water mixed with atta which is an Indian flour (you will find that in the shops). Then knead the dough. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Next take some dough and you make it into a round ball. Then roll with a rolling pin to make a flat circle. Put in the oven for 5 minutes until it is cooked.

Then you put a little bit of butter on top to make it tasty. You can have that with curry if you like - it will become more Indian-like!!
