Hasani's Icing Recipe

Try this easy icing recipe on your favorite cake. It's nice and thick.


2 egg whites
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk

Mix the egg whites in a bowl. Add in the butter, sugar and milk. Stir well until nice and thick. Apply by spreading on the cake when the cake is cooled down.

If you have nothing good to say about the suggested recipe, then shut up, it worked with us. It's just what you call timing & technique.

I can agree that the measurements for the milk was incorrect and the sugar should be "powdered" sugar but come on people. Even if you use 1/2 cup of milk to make it thicker like icing just add more powdered sugar. Amateurs "REALLY!"

This icing is cold and nasty, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. i had a beautiful chocolate cake... almost ruined it with this disgusting icing. this is a terrible recipe. FAIL.

Well I ended up adding sour cream to get some kind of consistency. It worked after I added almost an entire tub of sour cream. So there you go....NEW RECIPE!

Wow! I was about to try this because I didn't have frosting for a cake. I was skeptical when I saw sugar without the powder in front of it. Glad I read the comments before I started!

This did not work!! I wasted a whole stick of butter. Is there more to this recipe? It must be specific - for example - do you make the egg whites stiff?
