Golden Potato Wedges

by Fatima
(Pakistan)

Coat these potatoes and fry or bake until golden.

3-4 medium sized peeled parboiled potatoes
2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup gram flour* (optional)
1 tablespoon chicken powder/chicken seasoning
Pinch of thyme
cooking oil as required

*Gram flour is made from ground chick peas/garbanzo beans and can be found at your local Asian grocer.

Cut the potato into wedges. Mix plain flour, gram flour, chicken powder and thyme with enough water to form a thick batter. Coat the potatoes into the batter and shallow fry the wedges. You can even bake the wedges.

I tried these and they came out really good, and tasted real good. Thanks for the great idea.
