Fruity Smoothie

by Rachel
(United States)

This recipe was created by myself in the summer of 2010. My friends and I had been running around outside, and were all hot. So we decided to come inside for a popsicle. It turned out that we didn't have any popsicles, but we did have fruit and yogurt. So I sort of created this recipe on the spot. I've changed it around a couple of times, and have finally figured out a refreshing fruity smoothie, that's good for any time, whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a nutritional snack. So Enjoy!!!

Ingredients:

2 cups strawberry yogurt
2 cups milk
1 cup ice
2 1/2 cups of strawberries
1 1/2 cups blueberries
Add sugar if necessary
Lemon juice

First, put yogurt, milk, and ice into blender. Stir around until blended. This will help the ice be crushed. Then cut up strawberries into 4 equal parts. Measure then put into blender.

Then put blueberries into blender. Frappe it all together with the blender. Taste test to see if it needs sugar. If it is good, pour it into a glass and add lemon juice or lime juice to the top.

Also, you can add energy and nutrition packets to your fruity smoothie, to give you extra morning power!
