Cravable Cranberry Cookies

by Rosalind
(Harvest, Alabama, USA)

These cranberry cookies are bursting with flavor - both sweet and tart. So tasty you'll crave them.

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1 cold stick of unsalted butter
1 tablespoon of water
1 1/2 cups of powder sugar
1 teaspoon of almond extract
1 can of whole cranberries sauce jellied

Preheat oven to 350F (180C) degrees.

Take mixing bowl and spatula and begin to mix all dry ingredients. Next add water and almond extract and butter. Mix until dough starts to peak.

Knead dough. Note: The batter should be able to roll without crumbling. If it does start to come apart, add a little more water.

Dust baking sheet with flour and pinch cookie dough into balls. Lay the dough onto cookie sheet.

Take a teaspoon and make an indention into the ball and add whole cranberry sauce, jellied, to center then bake for 12-15 minutes in the oven. Repeat until all cookie dough is gone. Then enjoy!
