Chocolate Paradise Cake

by Barb Wright
(Boyd, Texas, USA)

This cake looks like it was done in a bakery and took a long time to make.

Ingredients:

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 container of cream cheese frosting
1/2 tub whipped cream
1 orange for orange zest
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 ounces macadamia nuts, chopped
1 Hershey's candy bar (I use king-size)

Make the cake according to the directions on the box. Divide the cake into two round cake pans, bake, and let cool completely.

In the meantime mix cream cheese, whipped cream, vanilla, and zest of half of the orange together in medium size bowl. Add macadamia nuts. Put in refrigerator until ready to use.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the cooled frosting on the first layer of cake. Put second layer of cake on top and spread evenly over whole cake. Make sure you spread frosting on sides. Put back into refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

Right before you cut it you'll add the rest of the orange zest(the other half of the orange) and using a cheese grater, grate chocolate bar over entire cake.

Every holiday I get asked to make this cake. Even my mother-in-law asked for it - and she doesn't admit she likes anything! The orange and the chocolate go so good together!!! Hope you'll like it and enjoy!!!!

Note from Mom Chef Clarissa: Thanks, Barb. We'd love to see a picture!
