Chocolate Dream Delight

by Vicky Leslie
(Tunnel Hill, GA, USA)

I came up with this recipe from a mandarin orange cake recipe. Every time we have a dinner or a social everyone asks for mandarin orange cake. Well there are chocolate devourers in my groups so I wanted to please their sweet tooth as well, and switched around some ingredients and made a delightful winner everyone begs for!

1 devils food cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1 large box chocolate pudding
16 ounce container Cool Whip
1 cup milk
1 bag of your favorite chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F (180C) degrees.

Mix 1/2 pudding and cake mix. Toss 1/4 of the chocolate chips in flour, then add to the dry ingredients.

Add milk, eggs, oil. Bake according to cake pan size on the box. May make cupcakes or use brownie pan.

Icing:

Mix Cool Whip and pudding and refrigerate. When cake is cooled, add remainder of chocolate chips to the cake after icing the cake. Serve with scoop of chocolate ice cream... yummy.
