Hot chocolate powder for cocoa
by: Clarissa the mom chef

Hi Sinead,

Yes, if you're baking a cake or cookies, or making icing, you can use hot chocolate powder in place of cocoa if you're out of cocoa powder. Cocoa powder will give your recipe a much more "chocolaty" flavor. Hot chocolate powder has sugar, so if you don't want the recipe to be too sweet, use a little less sugar in the recipe. Good luck with your recipe!
