Best Cinnamon Buns

by Jessie
(British Columbia )

Here is an easy bread maker recipe for delicious cinnamon rolls.

4 tablespoons butter
1 cup (8 ounces) milk (better if heated)
1 large egg
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon bread machine yeast

Mix to go in between layers:

1/2 cup butter (melted)
1/2 cup white sugar
4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

Place butter, milk and egg in the bread maker container, then on top of that put flour, salt and sugar. Make a well in the middle of ingredients. Add bread machine yeast (mix in well). Lock into bread machine and set for dough.

When ready, take out and put on a floured surface. Knead for 1 minute then let rest for 15 minutes.

Roll out dough into a large rectangle shape about 1 centimeter thick. Spread mixture onto dough. (At this point you can add raisins or nuts if want.) Roll up dough tightly. Cut off ends. Cut rest into 12 pieces.

Place in a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven of 400F degrees. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.

To make sure that they are completely cooked you can stick a toothpick into the middle and when you pull it out if there is nothing on your toothpick, the buns are ready! Let set for 15 minutes then serve and enjoy!
